Classified ads are priced based on the number of words in the ad and the number of days the ad runs in the print edition -- the more days, the lower the cost per day:

 1-5 days: $0.40 per word, per day
 6-10 days: $0.35 per word, per day
 11+ days: $0.30 per word, per day
 

The Daily Pennsylvanian publishes daily, Monday through Friday, when classes are in session at the University of Pennsylvania during the school year, and once a week during summer sessions.

You have an option to choose a jumbo headline on your ad for an additional $1.50 per line per day, or to bold individual words in your ad for $0.50 per word per day. (Penn students: these optional extras are not included free ads.) The regular format for classified ads will capitalize and bold the first three words of the ad at no cost. There is a 10-word minimum on classified line ads. No refunds will be made for classified line ads cancelled prior to the expiration of the ad.

Free ads for Penn Students!

Students can place classified ads up to 20 words and up to 5 days for free (for personal use only -- no groups, clubs or businesses; no sublet ads.) You must use your upenn.edu email address when you place your ad. If you have previously used the site to place an ad, your new ad will correctly show the $0.00 cost. If you have not used the web site before, you will see the regular price of the ad displayed; ignore the price, and check that you will be paying by cash or check. You will not need to pay for your ad once the DP reviews your submission and verifies that you are a Penn student.
